Two specialist devices for air disinfection purchased by Nowy Styl are now available to protect the patients and staff in the hospital in Jasło. The facility also received two thousand disposable masks from us. The same aid (and in the same amount) was offered to the hospital in Krosno. We have also helped medical staff in Cracow and Łańcut, and this is not the end!
We are still fighting with the coronavirus pandemic. In our everyday practice we take certain steps to ensure safe working conditions in our offices and production plants. We also remember to support those who make the greatest effort to stop the epidemic. Doctors, nurses and paramedics often risk their own health and life to help the afflicted. The needs of the medical staff are enormous, that’s why – as they admit – any support is worth its weight in gold.
“Nowy Styl has always kept in mind the wellbeing of the local community. The cities in Podkarpacie we feel the greatest affinity for are Jasło and Krosno: this is where are offices and production plants are. We employ a total of a few thousand people there, which is why we decided to offer the greatest help right here,” states Jerzy Krzanowski, co-founder and Vice-president of the Nowy Styl Group. Last week the hospital in Jasło received two professional air purifiers, which can also be used for disinfection. The staff use these devices in their fight with the coronavirus.
- The devices have a ionisation system and their operation is continuous, which reduces the possibility of airborne infection. What is more, the devices are rather small, which means they can be moved, if needed, and used to disinfect closed areas after they have been left by patients and staff. It is a great step forward for us in our fight against this dangerous invisible enemy – says Teresa Iwaniec from the Infection Containment Team at the Jasło hospital. In addition to the devices, the facility also received two thousand disposable masks, which have been the most wanted product for the past few weeks.
The same aid (and in the same amount) was provided to the hospital in Krosno. The emergency unit in Krosno has been using a specialist device for decontaminating ambulances, which we purchased together with the Splast Group. As doctor Marcin Steliga, medical coordinator of the emergency unit in Krosno, claims, this equipment is constantly in use: - Every third trip we make now is related to coronavirus. Each they there are a few or even more than a dozen such calls, and every time after we return, we must disinfect the ambulance. So far, we’ve had one such disinfecting device for the emergency station together with all its substations. We have tried to share this single device, which was rather inconvenient, and when the rate of coronavirus infection increased, it became utterly impossible. All the time we were afraid that should this device break down, we will be grounded. We received a new one with a great relief.
We bought another such device for the emergency station in Jasło. We are now waiting for it to arrive, so that we can promptly hand it over to the medical rescue team.
Our help has also reached the hospitals in Cracow and Łańcut. We have supported them financially, as well as provided with products and protective equipment.
